1stly This forum is intense for seo and orm. I've learnt huge amounts, and so I'm hoping for a little guidance in the ways of the AU googling. Short story, about 6 years back I made a huge mistake and spent some time at her majestys pleasure in one of Australia's secure resort facilities. 24/7 security, no pool, no views. Sometimes room service if there was a riot in another part of the prison. Anyway, I've managed to outrank news stories about me on all but the AU version of Google and need some help there. The Problem. 1. My name is unique, I'm the only one with my surname. 2. It's only AU google that still shows the stories. I've pushed the news way down on Yahoo, Bing etc 3. Searches for my name are low according to analytics like 10 or less per month. LOL it's probably me and prospective employers. 4. There's three articles, Australian papers, AU sites from 5 years ago. What I've done so far. 1. Asked the papers really really nicely to take down or deindex the articles. None have agreed. 2. GSA SERd my web 2.0s/twitter/fb/linkedin and link networks and tiered networks (but the GSA box was in the USA using US/EU proxies) 3. Got mynameCOM and all the social sites I can think of using my full name and crosslinking them as naturally as I can. Linkedin isn't outranking the top news article on me. 4. Scraped some aussie blogs/forums and started posting to them with my full name. I feel like I'm in a low competition keyword area (my name) but up against big sites (Major Aussie papers) so I reckon I should be able to beat them right? Any suggestions? I'm going to put a lot of effort into making accounts and posting actively on anything that ends in an AU to see if that helps. I'm also posting from AU ISPs and proxies for this.
