Is it really possible to out rank your competitor of you copy each and every one of his/her backlinks?

I don't think this is a good strategy, considering that you will never be able to get all the backlinks of a particular site. But, I guess it will give you a good way to get on the right track when it comes to beating the competition.

To out rank your competitors you have to out do what they do.

On site SEO should be better.

    Backlinks should be stronger.

    Backlinks should be more diversified.

Updating content should be more often.

If you do not do more than them, chances are they will always out rank you.

I completely understand. The thing is that in my niche the top ranking site has 700 backlinks and alot of them are scapebox comment/ sites you have to post to manually but it, to be honest within a week I think I could get at lesat 85-90 of all of there backlinks but I didn't want to waist my time if tactics like this doesn't work..

And of course I know, the only real way to find out is to try but I just wanted to see if someone took this route before..:)

If that is going to be your only strategy, it won't be worth your time and effort. The other site might have so many things going on, like backlinks to backlinks for example..

Got it, I mean to be honest I outranked them for an entire year before my domain got deindexed (long story) now his site has proudly took all my spots for my keywords, so I thought why not fight fire with a flame thrower..:D

I could get his site complety removed from google index but im not try to do anything to dirty.. The most I will do is steal all his backlinks and add a few more on top of the ones I stole to really push him out the way..

Trust me they don't, I out ranked him/her for an entire year, the only reason he is at the top is because my site got deindexed
