    Hello BHW,

Just wondering, do any of you link to relevant, high authority sites in your specific niche?

Lets take for example, if you have a site related to laptops/notebooks. Would it be smart to have links going to dell/toshiba/ and other laptop. Or other high authority and high pr websites?

Does this pose any SEO benefit?

Yes, i absolutely do. I think that the post panda algorithm definitely looks at this. I have found that linking to sites like the BBB and SSL sites (if you have one) also help as well.

I think that it also works the other way around as well. Meaning, if you are hoarding all your link juice and nofollowing every OBL that you have, that may hurt you.

This is something I've experimented with, and I've found improvements in my ranking by linking to authority sites in my niche, so I believe that G does take this into account.

Too many outgoing links can be harmful though, particularly if they're spammy links.
