I get it, "look for something that you love and build a site for it". But sometimes, you want to explore and get out of your comfort-zone, or look for "inspiration". In case you hit that roadblock, you might want to try this out (instead of asking other members to reveal their secret niches): A popular method is to look for what everybody is writing about these days in ezine. These articles will normally have a link to a niche-specific site. Most of you guys will have already read about it from other guides so let me present to you another method: Go to "hostcabi" and click on one of the popular hosters. It will take you to a page that lists the most recently updated hosted domains. Select one that looks interesting to you. Copy the link into another browser tab and "get inspired". You can also click on the page link for more information about that particular site. You'll see the estimated traffic and income (horrible estimates btw), but more importantly, you can check the other website that uses the same Google Analytic or AdSense number (the site owner's works, if there's any). To take it a step further, use your favorite tools to analyze what keywords the site is trying to rank for. Get those keywords and do an analysis yourself or get more "inspiration" from other sites that rank better for those keywords. By no way I'm saying that this can get you rich, but it might help you discover a few niches that may work for you. You'll find that a lot of the sites listed were built around well researched niches and keywords. Hey, if someone's making a website about it, then there's potential to make money from it. Happy hunting.
