I like Tor for but sometimes its just tooooo slow. any other suggestions on safe and easy to use proxies?

I strongly doubt that service is as secure as Tor, probably not even close to it.
They are secretive about their service but the principle of Tor is nothing you can build in secret, it's base are the masses.

And Tor is a very advanced piece of software, during my development of Cloakfish I had to dig through the Tor source code for weeks. It's very well written and thought through.

Edit:
And one more thing is strange
sipe101: That site you linked here was "found by google 5 hours ago".
The digg entry was also posted 5 hours, 40 minutes ago.
That's the time when you posted here.
Smells like advertisement. Did you google for "tor" discussion threads ?

And that website smells like an email-catching website without anything behind it.

Yea nice job catching that. That was a REALLY subtle backlink builder, hehe. Dang nice, I missed it myself!

Tor nodes are good for surfing but nothing else. btw, Tor is very strong for hiding yourself, since it tunnels all connections, as was mentioned above, but its easily identifyable, supposedly the bridge nodes delivered by email for e.g. chinese that aren't public aren't blacklisted for spam, but your ip only gets 3 at once. None of my 3 were up :D

its not slow if u using the fast nodes, here's a how to about configuring tor to use a specific exit node: http://www.ghacks.net/2008/01/29/configure-tor-to-use-a-specific-country-as-an-exit-node/
you can select one or more fast exit nodes, it's up to you and you don't have to worry that the nodes are always changing (10-15 minutes) automatically ever, you can control it!

@HoneyBird thx for the tip re: speeding up TOR. Im gonna give that a whirl.
