Let's say I'm a patient person and rather not PING(mostly because I don't understand how to do it, or I'm afraid of it) sites after doing a blast. Approximately how long will I have to wait in order for google to start to recognize my backlinks, or does that depend on how often they crawl the site I blasted?

It depends how often the URL where your link is located is crawled. Most people tend to not ping them to make it look natural. If you ping too much, you may dance (Land up on page 99 of Google for example).

    you just answered yourself son.

Picture a 36mb 2008 chinese guestbook, full to the brim with viagra, porn and god knows what else links. bots don´t hang out there everytime a new one comes up and download everything else to check for updates.

I ping lower tiers, since they link to buffer properties.

You don´t understand how to do it: get the free ping studio on the DL section or get scrapebox. It´s a no brainer you put the link urls here and the ping services there and hit start.

You are afraid to do it: Unacceptable. That´s a part of the process you must grasp for a complete backlinking campaign. Grab a .info for one dollar, get some links to it and ping. Check link indexing rates you´ll then be able to decide what to ping what not to ping.
