I started with youtube to clickbank about a month ago. I had great success with hops etc. however I have not been credited with a sale yet, despite having 8 order form server calls. Now when the commission is $40+ per sale that makes a big difference. Anyone else ever have this problem?

I find it hard to believe after 8 times, people can't input the details correctly. It's not exactly difficult.

Why would a bot try and purchase a clickbank product?

    Sounds like you've been cheated.

Or possibly the buyer's payment hasn't gone through yet.

There's a number of reasons this could happen. Someone could be too lazy to look for the price on the landing page so they click through to the end, it might be foreign traffic that gets their credit card rejected, it could be payment didn't go through for whatever reason.

I get about 12% order form sale conversion, here are the stats from one of the products I promoted last month:

    Hops: 833
    Order Form Impression Count: 133
    Order Form Server Calls: 28
    Initial Sales Count: 16

    Here's my stats:

    Order form Impressions: 81
    Order form server calls: 8
    Sales: 0

At least you can get 2:1 server calls:sales, but nothing seems ridiculous? I will open a support ticket with them. Maybe it's something to do with the affiliates page?

Maybe it's developing self awareness, or the bot is a woman, who knows.

That's what i'm thinking, it's the difference to being able to purchase Ultimate demon and not being able to. Quite frustrating! I think I will stick with other affiliate programs if this doesn't get resolved.

Try Amazon, I've never had a problem with them. I never feel like I'm being shaved. People end up buying stuff that I didn't even send them to. It's a bit slow when you first start out, but once you got a number of sites, you can easily get the commission up to 7.5% per sale and the amount of random items people buy is insane. I get conversion rates about 7-12% from Amazon vs 1-2% from clickbank. (Of course clickbank pays out more per sale, unless you sell high ticket items $400+ on amazon)

Clickbank and adsense are pretty much just supplementary for me. My main source of income is amazon because I find it so easy to convert. Just gotta keep sending buyer traffic and it hardly even matters what you write on your landing page.

Thanks mate, I definitely need to start focussing on my amazon. I rmemeber my first month of amazon and someone purchased a watch worth $500, then another pre-ordered a PS4, easy money! haha.

The lure of the high payouts was just too much not to give it a try!

Order form server calls or not the same as submits. Other actions a visitor does on that form are also registered as a server call, for example changing currency.
