Hi Folks,

i'm giving the google content network a second chance and have just build a seperate campaign for the content network.

Because i haven't found a way to optimize my campaigns on the content network, i've just added a huge quantity of urls (for placement targeting) and no keywords in this ad group.
I track clicks on my placement ads with the wild-card "{placement}" in the query string of the destination url. Otherwise i don't found a way to track clicks generated by the content network. I can't use google's conversion tracking (because i'm an affiliate and i can only use subids to track the visitors) and so i can't use analytics for tracking of the exact urls where the visitors came from.

My question: Is bidding on placements in my situation the only way to go?
And: Where do i get a huge list of domains which are using adsense?

Greetz,

you can also track where your clicks are coming from with Prosper202 its free and pretty easy to set up on a domain. Also, there's a tool for finding websites with adsense on it i think called adwords digger... it may or may not be on here, but its kinda lame... i dont know of any others tho.

Thx, Mark.
The problem is: You see in your stats only the referer doubleclick/google. It doesn't matter what tracking software you use - in the HTTP_REFERER gets only the google-domain displayed. I've heard that there is a special google analytics edition which can also display the real URL where someone clicked on your content ad, but this must be a enterprise edition...

Okay, but I'm giving the Adwords Digger a try and go for placements....
