    guys,
    I have a question.

I have unique articles to be written, and im wondering whats the best way to optimize my blog.

Im thinking i should write my articles around one long tail keyword like "best weight loss programs to buy" or something like that for other niches so it's more targeted and focused traffic rather than "weight loss" which is broad and harder to compete with. Any thoughts or advice?

any other tips to help me optimize my blog for adsense? Im also adding banners to clickbank products to make some extra dough.

    please help!

If you want to rank well for keywords, then you need to be building backlinks to your site. If you rank high in the search engines for a long tail keyword, then you are cutting yourself short of money.

agree, backlinks are very important, however in an ideal world you would optimize page for a single keyword. Ideally you would create x amount of pages and optimize them to 1 or two keywords and build backlinks to them. So you would archive high ranking on long tail keywords, but you would rank high on multiple longtail keywords. You could spend lots of money and time trying to rank high on major keywords which is almost imposible with whitehat on keywordlike "weight loss".

First step would be proper keyword research, if you rank high for 20 very targeted keywords, but each has "not enough data" searches per month, that will not allow you do retire to Bahamas and drink those muay thai drinks.

that is in my opinion, I am sure there are many schools of thought on that

Optimizing for a single keyphrase is also a valid strategy and that is the Google Sniper method (find vids and pdf on download section). So all articles written on the site send the pr juice to the home page which would have your static article. The domain would also have the exact phrase in the name.

Read google sniper, and if you want to do what you have said, you won't be disappointed.

ill def. check it out. also, my articles dont really make sense but they have a high density of keywords in them. should i stick with "weight loss" or maybe "best weight loss products to buy" and insert that keyword in an article a shitload of times. also, what do you mean by "send the pr juice to the home page which would have your static article" ? ill check out the google sniper method thank you! I'd rather dominate the high ranking on many long tail under 1 million pages keywords rather than tackling a huge competition like weight loss haha

I'm pretty sure that you should put a "shit load" of your same keyword in the body of your articles. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, overloading your density will show up to google as spam and will not increase your pr, but I could be wrong, I'm pretty noob

Instead of putting a lot of your keyword, try to put in LSI keywords. Go to google external keyword tool and find the related keywords (LSI), and stuff them in. That is how goog determines what your article is about, and if it is a "rich" article (not stuffed article) on the subject.

    Home Page:
just check the keyword density on the pages listed in the top 3 for your search phrase and just replicate those values. and the lsi keywords are also very important as blackieman mentioned.
