What is your guys opinion on this i have 25 almost identical web pages on my domain. The uniqeness of the 25 pages range from about 12-14%.

What would Big G think about this situation i got going on???

Not unique enough (assuming they are going for the same keyword). The only time you get really boned for duplicate content is when google figure out the same piece is from the same source, when its all on one domain thats pretty damn obvious.

What happens then is google takes all those pages and merges the juice together for one of the pages which it will choose as the "real" one, except you wont be getting the juice for 25 pages. I'm not sure how much you will get but I wouldn't have thought it will be much more than 1-2 personally.

yea but i just noticed my other pages which the content is 100% unique i ran it through the tool i use to compare 2 web pages and the 2 pages only had a 15-18% uniqueness and they rank pretty well all are on page #1 or #2 maybe #3. what do you think went on there?

Sorry perhaps i wasnt clear enough I wasnt just talking about on your own domain, because you will get boned for trying to artifically manipulate serps by using duplicate content off domain to point to your domain sloppily (if your posting from a single ip etc). Obviously duplicate content used properly doesnt hurt or article directories wouldnt be any use.

On your own domain you definately wont get away with duplicate content the article im referring to is the recent Eric Enge interview with Matt

    http://www.stonetemple.com/articles/interview-matt-cutts-012510.shtml

And by not getting away with it I dont think you will get fully deindexed. I just dont think youll generate as much juice as you could have done by making the text more unique between the pages on your domain.

I dont think using dupe content is a reason to get punished punished. (i need to qualify that as i am where i am and people here do love spamming) I dont think reasonable amounts bla bla ;-)

Is the 100% unique content page targeting the same keyword etc ? what are the factors ?

Also having read through the article again (and this is pure speculation on my part) I would actually guess that google would consider on site duplicate content to be probably something like 5 - 10% uniqueness, and even that is probably a bit high when it comes to what they stated the duplicate content issue is for them. It could even be as low as 2% uniqueness or something to be considered on site duplication.

I guess if you do duplicate content spam on site with low uniqueness articles but above the threshold then you risk falling into the danger zone (because the more pages you have the less likely the spin at that low uniqueness will maintain unqieness above threshold across the board) and you may also risk keyword stuffing penalities ? I dont know about sites being completely deindexed for it though. So at 12%-14% uniqeness you could probably just about get away with 3 versions of the same article perhaps. Would need to test it.
