Well basically my site has a variety of backlinks but does not include private blog networks or article directories. It's PR1, and ranks Top 10 (only have 1 Top 5 ranking right now) for easy keyword, but for competitive ones usually around page 4-8.

Do you think private blog networks & article directories will help boost them up? And is it worth the price? These are the most costly (I think) and I guess if they have great results it would be worth it...

    And which ones are good?

They are not costly if you chose them wisely, and use them wisely. Mass blasting on these networks is bad for your site as well as their network. Simply buy a few hundred blog posts, get an article spun well, add your URL/KW, make sure you spin these as well, and drip feed in the system.

For starters, you can go with ALN, Article Ranks, FreeBlogLinks etc. They are free but you must add your own blog before you can use them. Some paid networks are HPS, BMR, Article Ranks etc.

You have the advantage of having the blog and you can earn money easily by posting it in the blog.

What are the requirements for submitting your own blog? I have a few but I don't want them to get spammed daily with irrelevant content.
