Most of us doing offline marketing are targeting businesses with our services. What do you all think about marketing business opportunities by cold calling a list of known unemployed people?

Let's not talk about the national do not call list because that is a given.

"cold calling a list of known unemployed people" - doesn't that just about defeat the purpose of a sales call?

As far as I know, unemployed people are generally on a tight budget, and therefore are going to be far less inclined to purchase anything then the average person.

If you're planning on hitting them with stuff like debt removal services or loans, that's an opportunity, but a pretty sticky one, as they'll probably jump head over heals to get a bit of money, and those services generally fuck you up with their T&C's and what not.
