If you own TV/Movie streaming sites then read this!
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) are going hard after Movie and TV Streaming Sites:
    http://www.ice.gov/pi/nr/1006/100630losangeles.htm
    http://www.thewrap.com/movies/article/feds-seize-domain-names-pirate-sites-18895
    http://www.deadline.com/2010/06/fed...eize-seven-websites-showing-first-run-movies/
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100630/ap_on_hi_te/us_tec_fighting_movie_piracy

Some of the sites that went down are:
    TVShack.net, Movies-links.tv, Filespump.com, Now-movies.com, PlanetMoviez.com, PirateCity.org, zml.com, **********Video.net, and **********This.net

    Its getting tense :breakpc1:

I am lucky as my TV show site is not ranking in any search engines for the first 10 pages. Lets see what happens to my site...

TVShack is already back online, movies-links should be shortly just like their last shutdown.

What power do they have if the domain is registered eg in india, hosting in china, and revenue passing through anonymous prepaid debit cards?

It's called political and financial power. It comes from being a financial and political giant. Just ask all those countries that the IRS went after for having numbered and not named accounts. They eventually gave up their law breakers and paid a heavy fine for helping them in the first place. Also, tv-links is not the same as it was before. It was taken by the gov't during prosecution. Do you think that they just put that domain out there to be bought and used by another person? Of course not, it's gov't run now. How do you think they monitor so much? You can't outmanuever those that control the terrain.

    OK, here's what I'm thinking.
    Offshore domains are a must.
Instead of building a big site with many shows and links, build small sites. The will certainly leave the smaller sites - not cost effective, so to say.

Revenue passing through anonymous prepaid debit cards? That's something new to me. Can you explain how it works?

I am not surprised that this happened this week. There are a few blockbuster movies that are coming out this weekend. Being as though it is a holiday.

You're not lying! Theyre main domain got taken down - but now they're using a .info site lolll!

But on a serious note, I would truly go with some of the posts on here and use offshore or VPS servers. If you're a US or UK citizen you're at high risk.

This is ridiculous. For the most part, most of these sites don't host the videos on their own servers. They stream from Google, Veoh, Hulu, Megavideo and Youtube. The second weird thing is: What the hell does The Dept. of Immigration and Customs have to do with this? This is a trial balloon because Obama wants to shut down the internet and bring in Internet2 so the corporations can have power back because they're losing the infowar and losing money and mindshare. Nineteen Eighty-Four is here.

1984 has been and gone. Now we have Facebook and a generation brainwashed into giving up their privacy. Social engineering at its finest...this is a 'Brave New World' - Aldous Huxley had a much better grasp of the future than Orwell.

Every time they do these things, they just force everything underground. I guess that suits them as it means the morons go back out and buy DVDs again.

I am starting to be cautious using facebook too, I'm thinking of deleting it. There really is no such thing as privacy anymore.

And what's your point, Kendra? You're so smart, tell us about Aldous Huxley's brother and Orwell's background in MI6. Tell us about John Holdren and his book, Eco-Science.

Just imagine if you had the money and resources how easy it would be to duplicate and store all the content on Facebook...

...I am sure more than a few have done it...

Thanks dude! I was wondering where the hell I was going to be able to watch The Mighty Boosh since I watch it on TV Shack all the time.
