I have been wondering this for some time. Say I had a LLC in the states and I wanted to open up operation overseas. How would I go about doing this?

Anyone had experience with this? How sketchy can this be?

Well you can certainly operate in other countries with you LLC, it'll just be a pain in the arse.

Also the great thing about this is you can set up a tax-circus like McDonalds does. American taxes are a lot lower than the European :)

You need a lawyer to answer this properly.

Yes it is a pain in the ass. Every country has different laws, different taxing system...you know the deal.

Especially EU you can't sell stuff they don't approve of!

Yeh really depends on what you're going to do. If you're not selling anything physical it makes it all a lot easier. If you're doing like consulting or trading it's a bit easier, but where it all fucks up is when you've got people on a payroll offshore. If you want to do that yeah you should get a laywer who's based in the country you're getting into.

Also to sum it up one could use your title: Opening Up An American Busines Overseas. How Does This Work?

Answer: It doesn't work, get a laywer.
