Couples working in a studio are considered pornography and the studio owner and the performers can be arrested but I haven't heard of this occurring at any time over the last 4 years. It is regulated by Law 196/2003 (Law on the Prevention and Combat of Pornography; published in the Official Gazette 342/20 May 2003), subsequently amended by Law 496/2004.

Incorporate a Hong Kong company, book all your revenue there, and disburse just enough to Romania to cover your operating expenses... done :)

I live here also and interlops are actively looking to take advantage of the weak and unknowing. I have built or helped to build live cam (videochat) studios in Buc, Iasi & Constanta and can give you name and location of more than 500 and less than 1% of those pay any tax but they almost all pay spaga to someone! The wage tax is one of the highest I have encountered and I have had businesses in the USA and Costa Rica, El Salvador Mexico, and Paraguay. The tax on payroll for Accident and Risk, Health etc is the single reason more than 60% of all employees are black workers.

American living in RO for 4 years - knows all the ins and outs of videochat studios as they are called here. Most studios are NOT legal and pay no tax, some pay protection spaga some dont depends on how many toes you step on. Videochat is not specifically legal or illegal rather it exists in a grey area. Couples on cam are considered pornography and are illegal. If you mind your own business, keep your nose where it belongs and dont bring excess attention to yourself the ROI can be huge. n;)

Hello, I have recently been offered an opportunity to get into this by a friend in Romania. Since I do not know much about it, I decided to make some researches and came across your post. According to my friend it seems to easy to be true. Can I have your advise please. I am based in the UK and looking the ROI from some articles, I more than interested but would like to know more. Do you think you can guide me through the ins and outs of this world?

Thanks

All is easy on paper problems happen in the real world. The basics of a webcam/videochat studio are pretty simple but managing a group of cam girls is much like trying to herd cats. You said you were offered to get in this business by a Romanian , remember many here in RO have a HUGE appetite for other peoples money. Also forget the articles most are written by someone that has never even been inside a real studio.

Wow great information..yes eastern europe racketeering is a big problem if you get noticed. Especially if ur running a business in a gray area.

Why do people choose romania over other euro countries? What is the profit margin on this kind of business?
