I currently have a site with 1 page indexed with google atm, and i have 500k non indexed pages. And at this point its just a matter of adding a link to have roughly 500,000 new pages crawl-able. So my question is, has anyone on bhw by chance attempted this? And if so was there any impact with serps, IE gets you blacklisted. I really hope to avoid my site appearing spammy to serps. And if it helps to paint a better picture, the domain i'm using is relatively new i purchased it in may 2013 it was a couple years old before i purchased it. Any help, opinions etc would be appreciated.

Lots of people have attempted this, yes. If those pages are low quality, you'll get demoted pretty quickly. Adding 500k pages at once, to a new website, is sure fire way to get a manual review and if the material isn't original or very good, it'll be penalized.

500K pages I imagine scraped or autogenerated? Worth a test at least, see what happens. Its a new domain anyway.

You will most likely lose some serp position. If the site is honestly important to you I wouldn't do it. Think about it but as the guy above me said, yes, it would be interesting to know what would happen. Let us know

I kind of came to the same conclusion, however i wanted to hear someone else say it. So that brings up a couple new questions, i am gonna end up slowly adding pages daily. How many new pages would be recommended for a newer site? And it seems to me as a site grows its gonna grow faster so would it be recommended to increase the number of pages daily exponentially?

Start bulding a few quality pages daily and get a feel for it. If you see the site dropping or losing visitors, go slower, else speed it up. There's the human component where you have to feel what the right rythm is. As the site gets more established you'll be able to add more pages, faster. But when starting out, go slowly. It takes a long time to build a good site. If you're just going for quick cash, then don't waste too much time worrying, just have a blast and let it get penalized quickly. But if you're going for the long run, take it slowly at first.
