OK when you want to get paid for app sales on Google Play you need to open a merchant account for payments.

When signing up for a new merchant account from the console it asks for business name, address, your name etc.....

I assume after the account created you then enter the payment details.

What I need to know is.
1 - Does the merchant account have to be in the same name as the Google account.
2 - Can you enter someone else's name and payment/bank details in the merchant account so that the sales revenue goes into their account OR does the payment account alos have to be in same name as Google Account?

    Thanks

Rule number one with Google. Regarding questions that can result in you being paid directly or paying directly (AdWords, AdSense, Merchant, Google Wallet, etc), it's always best to go by the book. Always.
