    Hi folks,

I was wondering whether people were having their affiliate links open in new windows or not. I have been doing some testing over the past month and haven't noticed a difference one way or another.

Has anyone done their own testing on this? Or really, does anyone have any thoughts or input?

Note: I am only talking about Amazon affiliate links.

    Many thanks,
    JamaicanMoose

Where possible I always try to have links open in a new tab/window.
Some people advise against it but I just feel it is better to have the site still open so that if they decide to close the opened window they will still see the page again and may change their mind.
Haven't tested it to any degree so interested to hear what others do.

i agree, i always open links in a new window. People are lazy nowadays so the less they have to do the better.
Some so called experts tell you not to do it, i know some very successful site owners that do it with great effect

This was my thinking as well. I wish my testing reflected a definitive one way or another =/
