Right so a few weeks ago I was ranking 18-25 for a 30000 Searches a month keyword but I changed my On Page SEO and Website title and now I have dropped completely off the top 100.

My traffic has dropped by 3/4 and it is driving me insane.

I have attempted to change it all back and after a few days and nothing has changed.

    Any help?

Just wait for at least 15 days. If the rankings doesn't comes up on that time.. then there will be a problem in your off-site.
I need to know what are the changes you did with on-page SEO? the whole content?

Drastic change in the website cause you to face this type of issue. You forget the statement "Everything done in a gradual way for better optimized results" unless you're a BRAND.

I changed the title of my site and the name of the city in the text I was targeting.

So it was only small parts but I feel I over optimised so I changed it back.

I will not forget that again :)

If you changed it back to the way it was the rankings should recover. If you changed some of it back they may not.

Kevinmax is right, only make small changes on ranking pages.

If you have made the changes, do a fetch as googlebot from GWMT so it will index the return to original content quickly.

Did a fetch just then, i'm just hoping to recover. I still built links to the site even though I lost my rankings.

This is normal. If you have done everything correctly you will bounce back and in some cases you will need to build some little amount of link to stabilize in the SERP again.

Did you loose some backlinks co-incidentally ? Maybe yes. You should also check if any backlinks are deleted. You can wait for a little while to get the page recached.

Has the new page been cached? Ping your page. If you have reversed the changes, you are likely to see back the rankings soon.

When did you change and when did you see the impact of that change? If its less then a week, you did not loss the ranking because of that small changes. Look out for something else in your link building plan not on "on page" SEO.

Change the title is not a smart idea because you've to select it accurately at the beginning of your project.
In any case wait few days, if the situation continues to be the same, try to go back and recover the old title and the old optimizzation.
(after this step go to your Webmaster tool and click on "see as google" in Scan setting, scan your site and send it to the Google's index).

It Happen very often losing positions after optimization, it is normal, but if the situation does not improve there is definitely something that you did wrong.
