Here, this will tell you what you need to know:
Heard about this from a buddie a couple days ago. Looks really sweet! Wonder if I can get one.
Now I can max out all my credit cards easily without the worry of leaving one home
I like it though. I just wish it had chip and didn't have to run on batteries.
I just heard about it today for the first time, it's definitely a neat concept. It's amazing some of the changes we see taking place and this is actually quite an advancement despite the idea being so simple.
Pity I'm foreign. Apparently it doesn't work well outside the US, as of yet.
I wonder if it'll support VCC's
Bought one of these a few months ago... CANT wait till sumer so I can whip out this bad boy
That's a good question but I doubt it will support/offer that.
i pre ordered 2 back when they launched.
I honestly think this is a good idea but can be used for evil and make it too easy to steal credit cards now.
I'm sure security is something they've thought about and I'm sure they'll have good security measures in place. Trust me, for them to launch a product like this they have to meet some pretty strict guidelines.
I hope they are using the top of the line security to store all this credit card info in their databases. Whats their business model? Just charging for the card? Or will they be selling information on your spending habits, etc?
Just allowing the users to charge their card(s) from one single card I believe is their only service, I highly doubt they'll be selling users information. They're making their money by charging $50 per card which comes out to a lot of money with the amount of people that have already purchased one.
To be honest a person really only needs one credit card. But even though I have only 1, I might order a Coin because it looks so sick! I guarantee you hackers are going to spend some time looking at this piece, just to see if it can be cracked somehow...
When you say "you hackers" I'm sure you're not speaking about members on here. BHW isn't a place for this and people here don't do this.
Hackers in general though? Yes of course, I'm sure this is something they'll try to hack but I'm sure the security measures in place will be quite advanced despite the simplicity involved in making a charge on the card.
Its pretty creative. and it was a huge success, I read they made more than $500k in the first days of pre-order.
Damn these video introduction sites. When I have the time to watch the video, I have no longer the ability to turn the voice on (the child is sleeping).
So whats is it about?
Wow, talk about some early success!
It won't happen.
That is mind blowing.
The older I get, the more I prefer cash and being free from banks and all other scam institutions.
