The scammers have arrived and now i am reading every friggin day about article writers and re-writters who are scamming the members here. Some of the noticeable clues are the sudden inability to "comment" in decent english (and not translator gibberrish). You may not think that scamming two or three or even 4 people is worthwhile, but add it up. The only work is getting people to believe your freelance post and usually when they do it at "prices that are hard to believe", it usually is just that...... to hard to believe. But we figure that what is the lost of "just" $10 or $20 right? No one would waste their time for such small change, right?

Well, when you get 3, 4, 5 or even more customers to send you their cash, then you are making $50, $100 or even MORE per scam post. And like i said, they have been showing up DAILY lately (personally i believe that it's the same person or the same group of people).

So lets start compiling a VERIFIED (by members, customers and mod's) writer/re-writer listing here. Actually, let's kick this subject around a little with input from "experienced" members. We need to settle on a criteria for those who will be on the list as well as those who can input verification. Like, maybe only people with 25 post or more. Or maybe like only freelancers who have had 20 or more BHW customers. These are just some suggestions, but we all know how VALUABLE valid and good writers/re-writers are. So i think it is important that we find a way to get list or REAL ones for us decent BHW members who will look to use their services instead of having to worry about being scammed constantly.

So, this is the first step. Getting a citeria (and mod's feel free to give your valuable input). Then we will see about getting the names of the freelancers along with the fedback from their happy customers..... or not so happy customers.

Now, let the uhhhhhhh, i guess its, let the CITERIA AND FEEDBACK BEGIN!!!!

We're actually contemplating removing the services section altogether. If we continue to allow services to be sold here at all, it will be run through the BST section, which requires Admin/Mod approval and a donation fee, which may be increased. If not, well, there's always DP or freelance websites.

    Because, frankly, it's getting rediculous.

Yeah i am all for verification and if it goes to the BST that would be all the better, i have no problem in having mods look at my services and paying a fee, now we have all kinds of DP idiots scamming members.

I had fallen for that to once but even when it was only $20- i took it all the way to a dispute at PP, $20- is nothing but i wont let you steal it from me.

Another option may be to just make the Freelance sections paid/moderated as well, to keep the BST from being cluttered with services.

Anyway, it's in discussion at the moment, hopefully we'll reach a decision soon. We're also working on getting iTrader installed again.

Soooooo, are you guys going to let this thread ride so that we can more feedback from members? Or is this just a dead issue...... at least from the members point of view. In other words, no matter what input we give on this subject the mod's/admin's will what they decide to do. Case closed!?!?!

PS - sorry bout that stuck "r" key in the original post (gotta stop snakin so close to keyboard or all my keys will stick soon). Its CRITERIA and not CITERIA.

Yeah, sorry about hijackin your thread man. We may (eventually) look into a stickied list of some sorts, once we come to a decision on the freelance section. I've just received yet another scam complaint, so it looks as though the freelance sections may be locked up soon.

It would be nice to have a list like this for sure. I have been looking for a writer or group of writers for a few weeks. It seems that the good ones are booked up or close and the rest are gone in a few days.

I would like to apply to be added to the verified list. I am providing high quality content at affordable prices, have a mod review up and actually offering more review copies. If anyone would like to try me out please let me know, I am a US writer and a verified paypal member.

I totally agree with you unclaimed and then I totally hear where Clix is coming from, its to hard to guarantee anything but at the same time not many individuals will be prone to ripping people off if they have to pay a $20.00 posting fee. Regardless I think we should do somthing about this. Even if that means requiring a certain amount of posts to even offer services...

I do however feel it would be beneficial to keep the "Hire a Freelancer" option available. Again its mostly going with your gut instinct, I definately have noticed an increase in new members that join by the masses daily. I think we need to require some sort of Monthly membership. its getting a little out of hand.

    Hopefully we figure somthing out!
