    What are we, shocked?

I was reading this article this morning: http://www.businessinsider.com/ap-poll-just-6-percent-of-people-say-they-trust-the-media-2016-4

Although it is listed under politics, that's not the reason I read it, or the reason I'm sharing it. The lack of trust actually goes hand-in-hand with how much the internet has made an impact on the way we take in information. It talks about how much people rely on social media for news (Facebook especially) and what people want when they are reading information online.

    I found this fascinating.

Here are a few quotes, in case you're too lazy to read the article:

Nothing new for the majority of us, but I think it's pretty great that surveys and news organizations are confirming what we basically already know.

Even if people don't trust the media, they will still watch to get angry.

This is true. They often take their outrage to social media. They absorb information, even if they don't trust it.

There's this weird need for human beings to be in the loop. Even I'm like that. I've got a news app on my phone that gives me breaking news. My sister and mother get CNN breaking news alerts in their inboxes. So even if we don't trust the media, we still like to be informed.

I think it's a Catch-22 situation: I don't trust you but I need you to help me stay alert about what's going on in the world around me. So I will continue to use you, but know that I hate you.

    :) Good point.

Nice observation this might have lead to Facebook instant articles launched last year in collobration with different news websites.

Facebook claims that Instant Articles load ten times as fast as mobile web content so justifying the above point as well.

    Nice share btw
