This is kind of a follow up to Android's thread.

I would like to contribute the mindset and skillset that it takes to be successful in IM. I am 26 and was working in the mortgage industry until it collapsed a few months ago. Within a few mths of working my arse off I am making $200 a day and I WILL double this soon.

Since I have a background in sales and a strong mindset/entrepreneurial spirit this has made the transition easier IMO.

First, this is what I have done: I own an adult image hosting site, I own a few TV show sites, I own a bunch of domains that I park and market through youtube and adult tube sites, I own zango driven sites. I made a post earlier on the parked adult but at this point I am not going to give up any info about how I exploit my niches, in the future maybe.

What they don't teach you in school. Ever read the books: Think and Grow Rich, Power of the Subconscious Mind, The Power of Focus, or any Napoleon Hill? These books are only the most important resources for being successful.

As Android mentioned, becoming successful with Anything that is "for the taking" is more about believing "as if" you are already there. I am a millionaire, women love me, I have and deserve the best that life has to offer.

Negativity and Limiting Beliefs Kill you progress as an evolving human being. The world is how you perceive it, You Are how You Perceive Others.

PASSION comes from motivation which comes from self/desires. One theme that re-occurs when reading about successful people is most of them have an epiphany of some kind that occurs from having hit rock bottom or results form a very strong emotional reaction. You have to find what it is your most passionate about that will drive you to put in the work and focus that it takes to make it. It could be family, women, status, freedom, this does not matter so long as it evokes an INTENSE emotional desire. If this desire is half-assed, then your work/results will be half/assed. You must learn to stay focused on a given task for hours on end, this alone will seperate you from most people.

Positivity, Love, Gratefulness, and Appreciation are unconscious activators that lead us to our desires. Bad stuff happens, and it easy to use negative thoughts as a crutch to make it easy to cope; to "play the victim". Whenever we have Negative thoughts/actions we are only hurting ourself, infecting our sub-conscious with beliefs that will lead to bad decisions and a life of misery. So make the DECISION to perceive self and others in a positive light, there is beauty in everyone, beauty in life, so search and find it; be a passionate, loving human being and you will find success. Don't be fooled into thinking that thoughts are not real. They are as real as the chair your sitting in.

    Peace.

I like your attitude, and not just because I share it.

A lot of what you said relates back to the fundamental idea of having an internal locus of control. People who have an internal locus of control take full responsibility for outcomes in their lives. If they are too fat, they don't fixate on blaming their genes. They seek to correct shortcomings in their exercise and eating habits. If they fail a test in school, they don't blame the teacher or the test itself. They improve their study habits.

These people are opposite to those who have an external locus of control. People with an external locus of control feel like the world is out to get them and it is always someone else's fault. These people usually end up being the world's bitch for their whole lives, and rightfully so.

This is good stuff. Lots of books out there that say the same thing. Your life is what you make it. A lot of us don't get it. Yes, it takes work to change the way you think, and it's more difficult for some.

When I was in high school, Andrew Matthews (author, speaker) gave a presentation and gave us free copies of his books. Buddhism basically teaches the same thing, We are what we think, and we are the cause of our suffering.

Those of us in IM also need to be aware that ignorance and greed cause suffering. It's important to find balance.

I've been online full time since then. I took advantage of the loopholes in adwords, egay, twitter and facebook. Took the cash and re-invested into some sites. Was making significant income up until April 24th, now regrouping and gonna attack a new idea I have that will hopefully make a lot.
