Background: http://news.cnet.com/8301-31001_3-5...mally-brings-isps-into-the-anti-piracy-fight/ Some of the spin on this and other assaults on online privacy lately has consisted of comments from leaders such as "I haven't gotten a single comment from anyone opposing..." such and such bill or proposal...so... https://action.eff.org/o/9042/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=8547 From the EFF: Will signing this do any good? Who knows. But will not signing it help? No. Apathy is their goal, and it used to be fairly easy to have apathy around technical issues (like net neutrality) because they are difficult and stuff. But the tide is (I hope) turning toward a more informed and concerned general population. And each and every one of us with some savvy plays a part in helping to spread that. And the portion of this regarding unproven allegations of infringement is downright un-American. Isn't innocent until proven guilty one of the basic concepts of American democracy? It takes just a couple minutes, please consider sending a message to the big ISP's that there are people out there who oppose this, which is just another brick in the wall removing our online rights and privacy bit by bit.
