I not sure but i think if rottentomatoes not banned yet that's mean than website like this is legal. Right? I wanna create like this.

    I have a few questions:

    - is it legal if I not be placed full movie but just trailer?

    - need i use some offshore hosting?

    - how much i can earn money if ll use for monetize some affiliate programs who give me buttons WATCH NOW & DOWNLOAD? (PPI+CPA)

    - What way for monetize ll give me best income?

I ll say THANK YOU for anybody who can help))

It's a niche that's not for the faint of heart. Yes it's border line illegal and you will piss off the movie industry whether you host the files or not, you are still making money off their work. Also remember that all your work could come crashing down at any given moment.

Depends how big you want to get. If you're reaching for traffic such as movie4k or putlocker[dot]is, then you need to have experience and know what you're doing. If you want to just get some quick cash from movie affiliates, I wouldn't even put a link to the actual movie. Just place ads and affiliate banners everywhere, drive traffic, and get some money.

Oh yes, that's another thing too. Hackers don't like paying for movies, so if you try to screw them over they tend to get pissed off and give a swift little ddos attack. Like I said, this niche is not for the faint of heart.

    Good luck op.

Rottentomatoes is a movie review site. They don't link a pirated movie online and embed it in their site. They just link to the movie trailer, reviews, cast info, etc. There is nothing illegal about that.

If I were you, I'm saying that I wouldn't go hunting for pirated movie links and embed them in my page... that's what makes the operation illegal.

if this website ll give good money is no problem buy anti-Ddos server+admin. Cos somebody ll make ddos only if my website ll popular. Popular=traffick=money.

If not secret can somebody share screenshoots about earning in movie niche?

Huh? Have you ever even been on RottenTomatoes? It's just a movie review site with stats and trailers.

If anything I'd imagine the only problem you would ever face with that type of site is hosting the actual movie trailers without the proper permission. Embed the trailers from a 3rd party site and you're good to go.

You know the answer, if you truly thought it was legal you would just go ahead and do it and not ask questions. Sharing something that doesn't belong to you was never legal. Just be sure to have enough money in the bank to pay the bills.

But it depends on local laws. I mean, it could be illegal.

Generally speaking, monsters like rottentomatoes can get away with copyright infringement (because posters, stills, trailers are copyrighted) but not small sites. They can claim fair use, while you can't.

That's the way it is. Deal with it.

The majority of people in this thread didn't read his full post, it sounds like he's saying he wants to create a movie trailer site, not a watch movie online site.

If it's a trailer site, you can do it somewhat legally if you use YouTube video embeds and only take videos from the official movie network's youtube channel. You will face lots of SEO issues like duplicate content because there's a ton of movie trailer sites and the big ones like Rotten Tomatos and IMDB are going to outrank you heavily. The margin on what you can make from affiliate links on selling the video and traffic that would come from searches would be good, but it's an up-hill battle for this. Way too saturated.

I have had movie trailer sites for ages. Nobody gives a sh!t and nobody earns a sh!t with those sites (unless you get some good affiliate programs etc. which I am not sure if it would convert with that traffic). Embedding movie trailers is not illegal. Nobody can sue you and no hacker would bother to attack you.

Most comments in this thread are for online movie streaming sites which is of course illegal. However, there is more chance of profit and traffic there but be ready to face problems.

In fact, try to embed directly from the main official trailer by the production house so that it never gets deleted too. ;)

I have thought a lot about it but the chances of conversion are dim. A person visits a trailer site to know about the movie months before it is released. And if it is not yet released, there is no way to sell anything except for possible advance booking and such stuff. Anyways, people nowadays go directly to YT for checking movie trailers nowadays. So, unless you can give them something more, there is hardly any chance people will visit a trailer site just for checking out upcoming trailers. Almost everyone visits YT and see the latest trailers by default.
