    Hi,

I have spent quite a lot of time playing various casino and lottery games and realized that in such games,
the house always wins, because it tilts the odds greatly in their favour. Lotteries do that too, plus they skim off of the prize fund, usually taking around half of the prize fund for themselves.

I got fed up and decided to create a new ... unique type of lottery/money game where the house never wins ( because it doesnt participate in the game ) and 100% of the money players put into the game, is placed into prize fund.

The game( making money ) is very simple.

[ Below is an overview of the site - scroll to bottom if you are not interested in details ]

To win, you create a pile of coins ( a stack ). Lets say you place 10$ on to the table.

Then, other users can simply take your 10$ stack, but they first have to add 10$ to join that stack.
After adding 10$, your stack which now is worth 20$ belongs to that other user.
But...the catch is, in order to win the money in stack, he needs to keep that stack for a set period of time without anyone else adding to that stack.
So, essentially the game ends when noone is buying into the stack for "n" minutes.(last man standing)
The last player to hold the stack wins all the money in the stack.
The player who creates the stack, gets to take it back later in game for free ( when its worth many times more ).

When a player thinks he can't keep the stack for "n" minutes, then he may decide to end the game, and draw winners from stack buy playing a simple slot game.

A player that has joined a stack, but then lost it, may still win later in game, when another player decides to draw winners.
Players can also grab money stacks for free, if they invite friends to play.
This game is still very new and a work in progress, so all feedback is appreciated.

Now, the two problems i have, are
    1)
In order to keep the odds of wining fair, i ( the house ) wont be participating in the games. I also wont be skimming off of the prize fund.
Every dollar a player adds to the stack, will be won by someone.
This means that the site doesn't bring in any $$$, at least not from the games.
How should i monetize such site?
Ive been thinking about optional "subscriptions" or extra "paid features" but there really aren't that many extras to offer.
And even mentioning words like "subscription" on a page can be off putting to users.

    2) Since that site is not making any money, i'm not registered as a company( but i hope to make some $$$ in the future ).
This means that i can't use Google's AdWords or most other online marketing sites, because they only offer their services to companies, not individual freelancers. How should i proceed in advertising my site, if those options are off the table( for now at least ) ?

My suggestion is to work on the design of your site, it needs a sense of excitement, look at other lottery/game/casino sites for inspiration.

    randybishop thanks for your suggestion.

I'm quite aware of bad design of the site ( i don't have a designer ).
I can't really compete with other casino/lottery sites in terms of design&graphics. Casinos have millions to spend on professional designers.

Instead i hope to get some basic feedback and get the look and feel more or less ok, and hope that the game's concept itself + higher winning odds are enough to keeps users playing.

If you have any specific suggestions, about the design, better wordings for some texts/paragraphs etc, then its quite likely that i'd update the site accordingly.

Create a lead magnet suck as an eBook or something on how to be a better gambler.

Collect their email in exchange for the eBook then make a follow up series that promotes other gambling offers & apps.

at: optic88 - Thank you for your suggestion.

I, as a developer have seen that kind of strategy used quite a few times, and it has always been very time consuming and risky.
Although, the idea itself might work, for me, its probably not an option, since i'm not a company. My funds & options are limited to what i myself can do ( web development ). Creating an ebook sounds like a task that may require thousand of dollars and people who know allot about it.

re: collecting emails...this is something id probably want to do. Are there any other ways of getting/purchasing peoples email lists ?

I myself get quite allot of email offers from random companies promoting their stuff.
How do they know my email ? How could i promote my own stuff like that ?

So you are going to take money from people to play this "game" but aren't going to register as an actual company? So when something goes wrong, you are personally going to take the liability for the people losing their money? I think you need to think this through MUCH more before even thinking about monetizing it outside of taking a house cut (which people are more than OK with a house taking an honest cut). Have you even considered the legal issues with what is essentially gambling/lottery?

    I didn't say i'm wouldn't register as a company, what i mean is...i'm not registered atm.
I dont want to register as a company until i have a working self sustainable prototype.

Once i have that i would register ofc.
