Maybe ask people who buy your services if they could kindly leave a review once they have received your service. The most irritating thing I find when buying services on this forum is being messaged like I have to post my order on the sellers thread just so they get a thread bump.

Simple, if you tell me to post my order, I will say no. I will then go ahead and not even bother reviewing the service because you pissed me off just by asking me too post my order at the start. Respect is lost before I even get the service. :)

Random rant, not even that pissed off about it. Just want to see if anyone else relates to this and finds it irritating!

This is not aimed at everyone, just some experiences when buying from certain people.

Bumps are free advertising, so it only makes sense.
If it bothers you that's alright; people operate how they choose regardless.

Well there's a bit more to it than getting a thread bump. It covers their ass when buyers make PayPal claims for services not received or try to lie on a dispute and say the payment was for hard products that were never received. Seasoned sellers will ask you to post your payment or last digits of the transaction ID for some cya benefit.

Why not use your head and do what they ask....you did just give them your money site to work on....If you make them happy they are more likely to work extra hard on your site or even give you an over delivery.

The market place here is huge man without advertising it can be hard to stand out, so I don't blame sellers for asking for clients to confirm sign up in their threads for a bump to the top of a HUGE sea of threads, there's no rules against it at present afaik, we usually just include a line about it in the welcome email, if you choose not to do it then thats your call but no need to get so annoyed about it. Also like mentioned above it covers sellers, you wouldn't believe the amount of orders from random names with stolen credit cards that sellers get, this way its easy to identify them if needs be.
