I was watching a channel yesterday where the creator used to discuss topics in different niches which are trending at the moment. He covered politics, entertainment, social media on the same channel and had decent subscribers. But I have heard that YouTube likes the creator to focus on one niche only. So which strategy is better and gave you higher results?

Focusing on a niche will be 100x easier and more importantly you can build an audience who wants to see ALL of your content.

Youtube is going to expose your channel to people that are interested in your big-focused specialty search. People will like the channel and prefer to watch just these kinds of channels.

Focusing on a niche will always work better. If you want to work in more than one niche, it's better to work in seperate channels for each niche.

Both strategies can be effective depending on your goals and approach. Focusing on one niche can help you establish yourself as an expert in that area and build a more targeted audience, while covering multiple niches can appeal to a broader range of viewers and potentially lead to more exposure and growth.

Which approach are you using personally?

Sounds like a news channel to me that posts about recent events.

Focusing on one niche is always better, it helps the algorithm to figure out who your videos should be recommended to, changing a niche very often could do the opposite.
