I would like to think search traffic is better than direct traffic. Correct me if I am wrong.
The stats are approx. 55% direct traffic, 45% from search, i.e., Bing and Google.
Additionally, I instructed a Bot via an API to retrieve gazillions of query fan-out responses and place them into a template, including PAA questions, etc. (generally, whatever I want), and then create content. The custom Python script employs a multistep approach to create a plan, conduct searches to gather information, and refine the plan based on the findings. For example (although this isn't my trade secret, i.e., the prompt I'd normally use), Prompt: Please provide a list of ten or gazillions of query fan-out responses from the Internetz or about topics "X", "Y", "Z", etc. The Bot does its thing, and long story short, the process moves to another stage, if you will.
Here is how it works: Claude AI Sonnet 4.5 then generates the content, and Google Gemini creates the titles or H1, H2, H3, etc. tags, as it's more effective than ChatGPT or Claude AI for that purpose. This is done programmatically through APIs, which include image generation with Google Gemini for the thumbnails or infographics (e.g., once Claude AI has finished writing, i.e., Google Gemini analyzes the content for titles, keywords, grammar, etc, or if it requires an infographic; it does it beautifully, or whatever needs to be generated, assuming it's an image. So everything is sort of automated.
What I want is for the opposite to be true, i.e., more search traffic and less direct traffic, e.g., at least 80% search traffic and roughly 20% direct traffic. That would perhaps satisfy my Pareto Law. Any SEO ideas? Should I make the content longer, e.g., 1200 words, or include more infographics? The average word count is about 600 words.
P.S. I know I might get a lot of HATE for AI CONTENT, I tell you what, mate, oi mate, you have no loicence... to tell me what I can and what I shouldn't do with AI, if that's your issue, blame OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google DeepMind. Also, if I recall, Google said AI is okay, maybe...
