Hey guys,

This dude at my local flea market wants me to sell his shit for him on eBay, hes got a lot of shit, hundreds of thousands of Dollars worth of stuff.

Any advice on how I could do this efficiently? Tips on selling better?

EBay ad copy, templates?

What do you think a fair comission is?

Also I need to buy a powerseller account with good feedback.

eBay is such a hassel however it doable, I'll give u a few tips...don't use paypal to sell it, u don't want you money trapped in a account after u have sold a few things. Do yourself a favor get yourself a merchant account with authorize.net gateway with a cartmanager that intergrates with ebay such as cartmanager.com if u can find yourself a powerseller account GREAT! but if not a good account with 30+ feebacks should do the trick if your trying to sell fast.

make sure you dont sell counterfeit items... you will get banned in the long run

Not using paypal, that sounds solid.

What's a fair commission if i'm selling everything?

I'm mean u gotta take a look at what he's selling, how fast its goin sale, how much of a hassel its going to be on you to get it off. eBay is mos def the right market to get anything off but lets think, are u paying your own fees to list it, that's going to cut in your profit so u have to take that in account also. If he's selling a bunch of junk ill tell him ...40% of profit and both of u go half on your listing fees and u let him keep 60% since he is providing the actual product.

Accepting PayPal as an eBay seller is almost essential -- you will lose a lot of interested buyers.

You can see where the other side lies though because PayPal sucks.

Not too solid, Ebay changed it so paypal is the ONLY way to pay for items. Just went through this with a guy wanting to pay through money order. he took my hints and contacted me, now I am waiting on the money order.

Not really depends on how old the account is, if the accounts created before nov 2007 u don't have to have a PP account attatched to it. maaaan don't be letting paypal brain wash u into thinking there a must...i rather lose a few sales and know my money is safe then to take a $1000.00 worth of sales and have my account locked for 180 days. Look let me give some game...If u get cartmanager then u can have invoices sent directly to your buyer..after the auction as soon as the auction ends because it intergrates with ebay...and just tell the buyer to pay through the invoice that was sent to them...some will some won't...but safe money is always be better then dumb money.

use craigslist. you will get lots of sales, get paid cash, no fees which means more commission to you and no buyer headache and chargebacks.

you can do ebay as well just do a search for how much items sold for. Also you can use a lister like inkfrog to host your images and schedule your listings. take advantage of the $.35 listing fee
