Hey, i just thought about something.
If you search in Google for your website while your logged in, you see your website as a result a lot higher in the search engine than others do. And even the location from where you search a keyword DOES play a role.

Maybe there something similar to Youtube? Maybe we jus think our video is on first page for the selected keyword but in reality its on page 5 oder something.

    Anybody knows?

Yeah, that's kinda a ridiculous presumption. Because you're capable of searching while logged out...

well, if you have a website and wanna check where you are placed , you're result will be a little bit false, cause it also depends from WHERE you search. even if you are logged out

just thought it's maybe the same with youtube

I dont think that searching on google while being logged in or logged off really makes a difference, It could be a myth...

it does. it really does. I've tested it extremely often. Of course it only makes a difference if you have your website submitted to google analytics or google webmaster tools, so Google knows which website is yours. But it makes really a huge difference. I have also talked with several SEO companies and they confirmed this "myth" too.
