I have a site which I want to promote against a certain keyword

if I search google on "site:mysite" => I see that my site is in results

if if search "my keyword" => I get a lot of pages with results..

How to determine on which page is my site?

I tried some online tools - no luck.

    Thank you for answering...

    Go here :
    Code:
    http://www.seoserp.com/web_tools/google_pagerank_checker/google_serp_report.asp
Choose what google to check (.com, .co.uk, etc.)
Type in your keyword and domain name.

It will display the 1000 first results (100 pages) and highlight your domain.

If your domain is not in top 1000, it will not appear.

Unfortunately google will only show 1000 results for a keyword. If you're not in top 1000 for a specific keyword, you can't know where you are exactly.

However, we usually refer to "over 1000" as "nowhere" (yet) ;)

The way I see it, if you don't see your website in the top 10 results for your chosen keyword, then you know you have more work that needs to be done.

I understand though how not definitely knowing where your website stands can be discouraging, but maintaining focus and putting in the effort with the goal just to make it to the top 100 results (First 10 pages) could very well be more empowering to you than just hoping you're in the top 1,000, effectively leading you to better self-motivation, performance, and results.
