    Hello,
I have a couple questions that my friend asked me today:

1- What is the reason for not using the xml sitemap from yoast. I read in many places that people recommend Google xml sitemaps instead. Why?

2- Breadcrumbs, do they add any value to seo?

3-Should Google analytics code go in the header or in the footer?. There are conflicting position on this.

Experts, please clarify as much as possible
    Thanks

I don't know about issues with Yoast specifically. But in general you want to use the XML format if you are doing videos, images, or have a need to set the priority values for specific URLs. If you have frequently added content or frequently updated content this can put emphsis on getting those additions indexed more efficiently. If your website only has 100 pages then the text format which is just a list of URLs is easier and gets the job done. I think priority comes into play when your site is much bigger than Google can process in a day and you want to be more picky about how google uses its time.

It is also important to consider breaking up your sitemaps (in either format) by page type. e.g. product pages, category pages, blog pages, support pages, etc...

That way you can see if Google is taking issue with particular types of pages in terms of indexing or crawling them.

They can... breadcrumbs used to only apply to categories, but now it is more common to see them for selected sorts and filters as well. If those tagged values are used in keyword searches then they can help make those options and views more easily findable... but it would have to be build in a restful URL way where bots can crawl them. But this makes duplicate content more tricky. I would call going down this route "Advanced" and probably more work than it is worth more most websites. It is good to have breadcrumbs for the user experience but leveraging them SEO advantage is going to be quite a bit of work to do it well and there might be easier and faster ways to get that growth instead.

    Google says:

But experts agree you can put it at the bottom too.

It's beneficial if you download a plugin to install a xml generator so that you can use it on google console and get your pages indexed ASAP.
