Hey all,

There's a lot of talk about SEO footprints where you're looking for sites through the search engines.

But, does anyone know of a list of footprints that you can use to determine what a site is by looking at the page itself? I"m thinking Pligg, Wordpress, Drupal, etc. type sites, as well as others?

It seems like there should be a list somewhere. I just can't seem to find it.

Looked for such a list myself but didn't found one. however you can just install those platforms and figure out the footprints yourself. sometimes the footprint isn't a simple piece of text but might be a combination of factors (if you want better accuracy). for example URL footprint and a CSS class inside the HTML.

I believe you mean something like this, had to split them into 2 files as they were to big in one file to upload. I use these with Ubot to find forums and other places to link to.

View attachment footprint list.txt

View attachment footprints 2.txt

More than 600 footprints here, enjoy HTH. :D

That's a great list, but it looks like it's more search engine targeted. Though, i can probably reverse engineer this into what i'm looking for. Thanks!

If there is a particular target that you want to hit then you would just search the platform for things that appear by default on those installs. Then hit Google and search them to bring up a list of targets.
