Have you got your site in Google Webmaster Tools? You could check for errors etc there.

if your site's domain age is still young then dont bother competing on that kind of competitor yet.

    Cry?

What do you THINK Google will do when it finds 10,000 links over the course of a few days? Obviously it liked the first batch it found, then continued to find way too many. You probably had crazy link velocity is my guess.

whatever you do, DO NOT stop building links. I think of this as a kind of 'test'. Google gives you a little slap for piling on the links too fast. Then, if you stop backlinking they know you were scamming them so they leave you in the shitter. But, if you keep building links they eventually bring you back up top, usually stronger than before.

You want to make sure you keep building links the same way as before, this is important - if it is the google dance, yes, you will be back and higher than before.

The thing that is scary is how far it dips sometimes - I have no idea how they calculate that.

Really? I search "my targetet keyword" with/without quote, and my site is nowhere. Then I search "mytargetetkeyword", my site is still nowhere. But when I search '"mytargetetkeyword" My Title' (with my long title) my site is in Page 1. It's been 3-4 weeks. Two weeks ago my site was in page 48, then a week ago my site was on Page 1. But now when I searched "my targetet keyword" it is not in Page 1 anymore, it seems to be dropped to nowhere. I hope it's just Google dance.
