    Hope someone can help.

I made a 301 redirect from my old to my new domain, the new domain get pretty good indexed already. however, in SERPBOOK I can see that the new domain is on spot 5 and the old domain on spot 12 - it is one and the same URL is there anything I should / can do or will Google just drop the old URL anytime in the future?

Another question, can the above take linkjuice from the new domain doing so or it doesn't matter?

Google will deindex the old one slowly...you can also force that in htaccess.

I have redirected one of my sites to the new one and the old one didn't get deindexed for 6-7 months already

For the old site to go to lower rankings, it is a waiting game with unknown time, not until it happens and you can see the actual results. I'd focus on managing the new site and doing proper SEO on it, so that it can beat the old one in every way, and then go further.
