Okay to just quickly post pages to get a "full"/"solid" looking blog, then seo them later?

I have a new blog and domain. I want to "fill it up" quickly to make it look like a blog that offers a lot of material.

Is it okay to just post a material to fill the site up, then come back later (i.e. 1 week, 2 weeks or longer) and make them seo friendly? Will google not like this one bit?

it is no good to publish too much materials in short time. You better publish little and regularly.

Also it is good to have it SEOed from the start, that way since the first crawl G will have the SEOed content to play with, plus you will not need to redo your whole site again..

I am agree with innozemec because it will show that you're after page rank. I suggest to make 2 - 3 daily posts regularly. Don't forget to set up your blog so Google can easily index it by choosing appropriate meta tag, keywords etc. (don't too fluffy)
