Hello people. I just bought myself an expired domain but I need some advice. Sorry this is my first time trying to use an expired domain for a money site. heh.

Anyway, my question is, should I use www or non www to set up the site? "mydomain.com" is indexed in google but not the "www.mydomain.com".

Thought of changing it to "www.mydomain.com" but would love to hear some advice first.

I find sites without the www sexier, and I'd go with what I like, since its ranked for the domain without the www I'd go with that instead of ranking the www, was the point of getting the expired domain fi you need to rank it all over agian...

Hey, first of all you need to check it with seo tools: with WWW and WWW. It actually makes a difference. You can try majestic seo , it has several free search possibilities (enough for you). You will understand it very fast. As for expired domain it makes difference, but for new domain it doesent and you cant choose whatever you feel looks more nicely :D Also keep in mind , when you will install wp (wordpress) on it, select www. , if it needs one (among first options to choose). Good luck. If any questions pm.

You should use www because today you have a small web site, and tomorrow you want a big web site.
The technical reasons to use www primarily apply to the largest web sites which receive millions of page views per day, web sites with a large number of services across several subdomains, and virtually any web site hosted in "the cloud" by an application service provider.while we using some provider they able to update the DNS records so when need to redirecting the traffic from failing server to healthy server,This is set up using DNS CNAME records, and the naked domain cannot have a CNAME record.

Hold on, what are you doing with the domain? Are you simply creating a PBN on it or are you going to do a money site? If it's a PBN, use the same as it was done before. There is no need to change it. And it doesn't matter whether it's sexy or not, it's for ranking purposes only. If it's a new money site, you can go with either but please remember to redirect the original version to your new version. e.g. If the old site did not use www. Then make sure to redirect all URL's without www to the www URL.

If non www is indexed in google and has higher TF/CF/DA/PA then go with non www version without a doubt.

Technically Url's with "www" are much accurate and preferable as compared to without www but as per my openion "www" and without "www" url's doesn't matter's at all, Pick one at all and stick with it.

the www vs. non-www doesn't really matter in terms of rankings. Check the TF of both variants of the domain and choose the one with higher TF.

Thanks guys. Am going with the non www version since it's already indexed and has higher TF/DA etc. Really appreciate the advice given! :)

The non www version has more backlinks than the www version. I've checked using both Majestic and ahrefs.
