So I promote a CB product and offer an 'exclusive bonus' if people order off me. standard stuff. I ask them to email me their CB receipt number for proof (although i rarely check) and I send them the bonus.

anyway the last 2 days I have had zero sales (which is weird as I have just moved up to postion 7 on google for my main keyword and I usually sell one or two per day anyway). the emails have still been coming in though.

So i cross checked the clickbank reciept numbers from the last few emails I recieved. And guess what? I havent got any commission from them. there are no transactions for the last few days at all. just a refund from another product... hmmm strange.

whats more when i looked the transactions up on clickbank (as a buyer would do) they do actually correspond to sales. it doesn't say the vendor ID though...

Could someone be stealing my hops? I change them regularly for security... also I am still getting hops which wouldnt happen if someone had hacked my blog right?

I have emailed CB about this.

What can I do in the meanwhile?? This is my best selling affiliate product and I cant afford this!!!

    cheers peeps,

    weBay

I've heard of similar stories during May when vendors were making less sales all of a sudden.
Those vendors contacted clickbank and clickbank fixed the problem at their end.

Try calling them, might be the vendor account.

Sheesh and I thought I was the only one.

Yeap, my sales are heavily affected again.
Initially my sales were badly affected by America's tax filing month.
Then after 2-3 weeks later, my sales boom back to normal - a couple of sales or more per day.
Then strange enough, this month my sales disappear... sometimes I get 0 sales per day.
And most of my sites are ranking in page 1 for the high gravity products... so it's strange to have this incident.

Wanted to join other affiliate networks but CB is still the largest yet.

I guess Clickbank's income is more of a "if I make a sale today, lets go to the restaurant or strip club".
Not a reliable stable monthly income. I guess we should put more focus on promoting Amazon's or adsense.

Thanks for the input. The thing is alot of people feel that there is a problem with their sales but now I have PROOF. It will be interesting to see how they react/what they do to sort the situation out.

I hope all CB affiliates read this and make sure they offer some sort of opt in or freebie bonus so they can get all the email addresses and reciept numbers of their customers. They can then cross reference every sale to make sure it was credited to their account.

I will call them in a few hours when its US office hours and report back here.

I'm new to cb and have made one or two sale every 2-3 days. Been 5 days since I got any sales. Weird thing I don't have any order impressions at all. Seems strange...

Yeap, I do offer the free bonus with their receipt.

Strange enough, I received several people telling me they have purchased from my referral link but it did not appear on my transaction too. CB...

In a slang chinese dialect in my area, CB is a short-form (or abbreviation) for Chee Bye or Chi Bye, which means Smelly Vagina :D
I guess they are really that now.

You can look the order up here:
    https://www.clickbank.com/orderDetail.htm?clear=true

Use the receipt number they sent you and the customers email. it will tell you if they really purchased it or not and what day etc. It doesn't have the affiliate nickname unfortunately. if they did actually purchase the product then the chances are it was from you and somewhere along the line you are being ripped off.

I just heard back from one of my customers and he said he definitely purchased though my links.

gonna call in one hour when CB open. will report back what the deal is.....

About 20%-30% of CB sales trough affiliates are being loss due to cookies, keep in mind that a lot of people are having these cookie blocking softwares, private browsing or visiting your site with one browser and checkout from another. Just a simple example: if you promote a registry cleaner software with a free trial, whenever the customer downloads the software from 1 browser and after scanning and all that, once he click on purchase button within the software, the default browser will fire up and take him to the order page of the vendor, when that happens, no affiliate commission will be assigned under you. It's a tricky game, but as long as you are getting free traffic from google who cares ;) What you can try to do is push the traffic straight to the checkout page of CB with you aff. id and split test it with the way you are doing it now.

thanks. its a fair point actually.

however it just feels weird to me that I had 4 'sales' go through that didnt register in 2 days. thats 100% of the sales in that period.
