God i hope no one buys it IF it ever comes out lol
that sounds like an awsome idea
Ya, I read the news earlier today. They are trying to copy Google nothing else.
Facebook = SOFTWARE not HARDWARE
I can't wait to see how this ends.
Will they ever stop.. seriously..
Why don't just die a dignified death instead of struggling?
Guess what? Zuckerburg is really scared of 21st december thing and it seems like he's looking to spend all his money in desperate efforts to be the next Bill Gates (in terms of wealth)... sounds weird right? It is
Seriously, I don't get it. They're trying way too many things at the same time which is why almost everything they've come up with in the past few months has been a failure (timeline, IPO etc).
This is a very bad idea by Facebook

The timeline isn't a failure. The IPO had its issues, but it isn't necessarily a failure (although the argument can be made vs. projections). As for trying new things- what do you expect? They need to grow and that's why they went public. With a P/E ratio of over 100 you better find new ways to make money or leverage up your old ones (most likely a combo of the two) if you want to keep your stock price where it is for long let alone let it go up.
damn, they are extending there privacy invasion.
They're going t o implode sooon and fuck up!
Facebook isn't even software, but stolen codes.
I don't think anyone with a "reasonable" mind would buy it. Facebook doesn't care about it's users data. Wait until they get a hold of your mobile data. They'll have all your online and offline data, including phone numbers, contacts and calling habits. This is dangerous information to have, and I am sure they will sell it to the highest bidder and big brother.
Say hello to the next Google everybody
I heard that too and it is even hiring engineers that build the The G phone , So it is going to be though competion for Big G
Facebook is mainly social. Social is fluid and can go up at anytime (remember myspace?)
Google is for searching. People are used to it and with the little amount of competition, won't leave.
Facebook won't be able to reach googles success in expansion.
That's true but looking at the trend of their expansion, they won't stay like that for long. And besides, with all the money that Facebook has, what's stopping them from being direct competitors of Google?
