I tried doing a lil bit of reverse engineering and found out that the first link has close to 16,000 backlinks!

Didn't even bother to try the second one, I assume he/she's in that neighborhood.

Tracing a few of them, I noticed a trend of posting mostly on popular money making blogs - especially carlocab + friends.

But how on earth does someone even begin to amass such a number is beyond me. Help me out guys, how did the prick do it?

Internet sarcasm is hard to detect....and I'm looking for specifics...

Nevertheless, it's not impossible theoretically. Have an automatic captcha generator and you can bypass 99% of all blogs.

There is no human way someone/some people posted 16000 backlinks.

I've seen the "Will submit your site to 1000's of directories" a few times, as well has 100's of social bookmarking sites and 100's or 1000's of article directories. I remember reading something about offering software PAD's to get 1000's of backlinks.

It seems like a couple orders of each would work. Assuming that the services work, which might be a big leap.

If a site is truely good you don't need to get any links yourself. Your readers will spread it

Yeah, if a site is good, and by good, I mean has compelling content, it'll promote itself over time. People will link to it, and it'll snowball with the increasing organic traffic.

That kinda growth is golden for long-term whitehat success.

You don't want to make all those links appear overnight - you'll get sandboxed.

Make or pay to have made a really good free wordpress template that you will give away for free. A link to your site is put into the footer. The more people use your template, the more backlinks you can get.

Well this post has given me some new ideas. Why not reverse engineer top ranked sites for popular terms that are known for SEO manipulations... like buy 1000 links...

I think you guys are thinking about it the wrong way, the blog probably got popular and then people started linking to it in a public type forum (not a actual forum, but you get what I mean)

would be really interesting, what the guy is making with these sites.

makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com is making 50$-100$ daily from adsense, hes a very smart guy. Interesting how he makes a living from blogspot blogs
