Hey guys, I have many ideas about what to working in my new store. The store is on a corner in my city. I thinking about furniture or maybe ceramic for bathrooms. I'm in the Europe. What do you think, do you have some idea, or what works well in your city, thanks in advance for your answers.

I think I'm not posted in the wrong section on the forum...

Massage parlor or sunbeds always seem to do well. Mens barber shops are money making machines.

I own a salon, and there are many challenges. Biggest is small business need to market like big brand to pull in customers with tight budget.

I am always looking for new interesting methods to market, please share if you have any.

The business idea will depend a lot on your location and audience, even within Europe garden/outdoors furniture won't do well in Norway.

My local barber uses a software on their website which allows customers to book a time slot. People HATE waiting. This worked out great and the barbers is is always busy.

A clothing store, which is a combination of ready made clothes + custom made tailoring facility.

can vouch on that. A client of mine wanted marketing done for his barber salon in Atlanta. After a handful of video promotions on Insta and TikTok, he almost tripled his clientele. He charges premium prices now this year compared to 2019

A bagel/pizzeria.

You can open at 5am and close at midnight. Do bagels and breakfast till 11 then switch over to pizzaria (preferably wood fired)

Thisbusiness model works off the idea of hitting two businesses together with longer hours. More hours = more cash

I'd consider an online store first, just so you could protect yourself from pandemic situations like the one that's happening now. Plus, you won't have to pay a rent.

A lot of barber shops and similar low cash reserve businesses are f*cked now. I just received a message from a barber shop I go to that they are raising donations for their employees who are currently our of job due to the quarantine. It's a little beyond me how they charge $40 per cut, rent their space on a second floor of a Class C commercial building with 0 parking, and don't put money aside to weather the storm during the lockdown.

I was thinking about this situation today and I think if I were a small service provider (e.g. barber shop), I wouldn't be asking for donations. I'd offer gift card for sale. Let's say if you buy a card from me during the lockdown, you'll get a 25%-50% discount on your future cuts once the stay-at-home order is lifted. It's going to provide me with cash infusion during the quarantine and will help start recovering right after it's over.

I was considering starting an offline business (food service) before the pandemic. I'm reconsidering this plans right now.

You should study the place well. Each business differs depending on the location and the people around.

Is it just me or is it weird he got the store front before having a plan?

I feel getting a store front comes after you've done all research, decision making, education, etc. So crazy.

I think you need to scout the area first, what kind of businesses are doing good in the area and what kind of businesses should be there but arent there. I think that can help you understand a bit about it.

Affiliate marketing is undoubtedly one of my favorite forms of online business because of its ability to become a recurring passive income. With it many people have achieved an indefinite number of money just by applying a couple of hours.
