Well, to most of you I am just another stranger BHW member, though some of you will know me as a SEO service provider. I am from the southern state in India ( Kerala ) and I've got a SEO business here with registered office and 20+ employees. The business has been going well as usual. Recently I got a call from a poor lady who got admitted in the nearby Government hospital, asking for some financial help. I am an active member of the local LIONS club, so that's how she got in touch. Her situation was really pathetic as her husband passed away few years back and her mom is taking treatment for cancer. She is left with 2 young daughters ( 8,12 years age ) and she has no one to help her. So, me along with a friend visited the hospital on a Monday morning and gave her some money to buy medicines. When we went there, they didn't even had Rs.100 ( $2 ) to buy food for her kid and it seems the nursing assistants gave them Rs.50 ( less than $1 ) and that's how they managed to get breakfast. We gave her some money to pay for medicines and tests and came back to my office. But that small kid's sad face is haunting me since then. Kerala is one of the most well-doing states in India and the common belief is that nobody starves here. Unlike other states, most in here have a job to take care of their daily needs. When I inquired further, I found out that there are many poor people admitted in nearby government hospitals who cannot even afford a regular meal a day which was indeed shocking. Not just the government hospitals, there are orphanages, old age homes etc that are managed by usually one or two good-hearted people who are really in need of food ( more than cash ) . Today all our team members sat down and thought about ways to help them. We are now planning to launch a small-sized link building service ( not here in BHW, at the moment and we are not taking money from anyone here.) to raise money to give food to 250 poor people each week. That's 1000 food packets distributed in a month. The team here is more than willing to take the extra work load ( we have enough business to keep them occupied at the moment ) and they are happy to contribute with their hard work. We plan to price this service at $25/pack and $500-600 should be enough to get us 1000 food packets. Yes, 100% revenue ( not profit, we cover our costs ourselves ) from this service will go to this purpose and we ourselves will distribute the food packets on each saturday. I am at the moment planning this service, but before I finalize anything, I would like to hear your thoughts on this. Do you think it will work? For $25 the people who order the service will get much more than what they have paid for. But I am planning to mention our purpose in the sales thread. I am a senior member at most of the sites where I put up this offer and I have enough reputation to convince the clients that this is not a scam deal. But from a buyer's perspective, will they take it?
