% Of View Required to Count as Actual View?

    If a video is 60 seconds, how much of that video should one watch for it to count towards a real view?

    Also, is the amount downloaded counted by Youtube or the place you are up to when you stop watching the video?

    That's not how YouTube views work the viewer can even watch 3 sec of your video and still be counted towards real views, so it doesn't matter

    They do not have a certain % requirement for a view to count. Someone can open your video and click out one second later and it will count as a view.

    Note that they do keep track of retention... while I have never heard of videos getting banned for not having high retention views, they have the information available if they do decide to take action in the future.

    Like the others said, there is really no set amount. That's just for saying. But if you are trying to rank a Youtube video to the top of the page, you are going to want to have high retention (Try to hit 100% of the video), to get a better ranking over everybody else.
