Even if Obama didn't do anything it'd still be "killed."

Obama is just doing it because of the massive outcry, for votes.

How would people get past Obama, the US Army, etc? I guess alot of countries' economies would be affected if and when it is looked at again and passed, so those countries would react, and hopefully those countries reactions wouldn't cause Obama to push that big red button...

Alot of Kiwis on here (and the public) might not know this but our ISP's (Telecom, Orcon, Vodafone/iHug etc) get their broadband services as a result of a large cable that runs from somewhere in North America (I am picking California) down to NZ. Before the cable reaches NZ it branches off to somewhere in Sydney, Australia. So if SOPA did pass it would affect us immediately. Maybe we should cut the cable and have it come from Asia instead?

Forgot about that lol. Would just typing the site's IP address get you access if this were to happen? I got a whole lot of IP addresses for sites I regularly visit in case this happened. I guess each country would be limited to a nationwide network that connected all the computers up somehow with hubs put in strategic areas to manage and maintain connectivity and traffic flows, then eventually some smart and brilliant hackers will figure out how to access websites on these national networks from abroad (I.E accessing a website on a NZ national network from a UK national network) without the US being alerted to anything or knowing about the flow of traffic. This is probably already happening (maybe with China) but it is something that just came into my head. I also then thought what if hackers could get control of or launch their own satellites and get an internet signal that way? Then again, the US could find out and send long distant missiles to blow them up.

PIPA is not dead and SOPA is just going back in to be rewritten. The battle was won but the war is not close to over.

This is why the international community must keep pressing forward unrelentingly. Even people on all the Black Hat forums - we should all work together to help keep SOPA permanently on the backbench. After all, most people on here earn a more than decent income from I.M and would want to protect that as much as possible. Get all the black hat forums to create some sort of consortium (like in the Pirates of The Carribean - At Worlds End) where we do as much as we can to protect our "livelihoods" as well as the general public's access to knowledge. Heck why not create a massive website and get every page to rank in the top 100 places for some keywords lol (yes that would be unrealistic but hey it would keep pushing the issue forward).

If SOPA passes, I'm expecting a riot. You'll be seeing geeks running down the street, smashing windows, and stealing computer parts. lol

Same here, except I just installed the Wordpress plugin that displays a small banner on the top-right corner (on every page). I wanted to show my support but at the same time not be too obtrusive. I guess if someone looks at one of my pages for the first time they should pick up SOPA while their eyes are scanning...

EDIT: If DiamondDave, Pofecker, BigBuddy or any other mod is reading this, BHW should consider putting up something on the site to show people that BHW is against SOPA/PIPA. I can't see any reason why BHW wouldn't support SOPA...
