    Let's get this roll'n!

Right now there are almost 705,000 members on this forum. From all around the US & the rest of the world.

I'm launching this thread both as a preliminary test and a direct step towards execution. For marketers & business owners from the following areas:

    1) NYC
    2) NJ
    3) PA
    4) CT

Just those 4 areas for now. If we target too wide too soon this isn't going to work. We start small. I will learn to accommodate people from this area. The more members we get the better a platform I will build for us.

As clear as possible, these are the goals:

    • To create a private, non profit review exchange for people (from these areas) who need reviews for businesses.
    • To find committed members. This group can only be an asset if you want this and realize the true value of it.
    • To keep it intimate. If I need, I will personally screen and get to know everyone who joins.
    • We don't need a huge group. Just a mere 100-300 members would be a great way to "kickstart" reviews.

The biggest concern I have is just finding people who want this.

Anyone worried about security, I would reserve those concerns for later. Once we get a bit of momentum going we can move to invite only. Along with other safeguards.

This group will have 1 focus. Reviews for local businesses. A place people can go to find marketers in their area and trade reviews.

Reviews sites like: G Local, Yelp, Yellow Pages, Yahoo Local, Insider Pages, Merchant Circle, Kudzu, etc etc.

This will be a get what you give deal.

So if you want Yelp reviews to stick you will want an active Yelp account with friends and reviews. G local is easy to beat as long as it's local and you have a gmail you use. All other sites are cake.

And my end goal is to have a small, Craigslist type forum where members can post simple requests. Like, "2 year old Yelp account, 50+ friends, 20+ reviews, WTT in NY". It will all be private. There will be no single source or supplier for anything. Right now I already have 18 contacts in 2 states. I just need more.

Keep in mind, reviews are one of the most valuable assets any local business can have. They don't just help you rank everywhere. The quality of your traffic EXPLODES. Conversions skyrocket. The reviews last forever. They make you stick out more than anything you can think of.

ANYONE who's interested and wants to make this happen, please post in here or shoot me a message.

    Thanks,

    -BB

ps. I didn't post this in the local section cause it'll take years just to find people.

    Good idea!
Wish I was in those states but I am not. Hopefully this will expand in the future.

Awesome, thank you all who responded!

This is progressing a bit slowly as expected but we will get there. So far we've added 3 more members. The 2 in this thread and 1 via pm.

Keep in mind, every 1 additional member we add is 10 potential reviews on the top 10 review sites.

So if a state only gets 50 members, that's still 500 potential reviews a business can get. There's many industries where a mere 100-200 reviews can kick a companies earnings to the stratosphere. Combined with citations (which are easy to get) you can easily enter & dominate G Local, rank on the top of Yelp with just 10-15 reviews, Yahoo, etc etc. Then you can flip those leads, use them for your business, whatever you need.

I'm also reaching out and trying to reverify all my previous email contacts.

These were people I met when Glowing Reviews was up. Some people I met offline. Some I met randomly on forums. At one point I think I had 40-50 local contacts. It's just a matter of finding all the people I didn't stay in touch with, reaching out and tallying up an official number.

Either way I'll update as more people respond.
