    Hi,

Well to start I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but after a lot of searching I can't seem to find the answer. I know when it comes to affiliate marketing it's different than adsense when it comes to how much traffic you need, so you don't really need like 20,000+. So for buying keywords and long tail buying keywords for high priced products(say like a $300+ product on Amazon), how many exact keyword results would you be looking for to make it worth starting a new website and trying to target?

    Thanks

I think you have the wrong understanding of everything. Sure, keyword traffic and everything matters; but in all, it really doesn't. You need to figure out for yourself. Start with a lower monthly search 'buying' keyword and grow from there. The price of the product barley matters, it is all about conversion rate.

Your question really has no answer, depends on a lot more than just keyword volume.

Thanks for the quick replies guys :)

Yeah I know I still have a whole lot to learn and I have already been trying to just jump in it. I already have started working on my first site with a few keywords ranging from 200 to 2000 results most are 'buying' keywords, some are not. I just wasn't sure if the keywords in the 200 to 300 range were really worth the time. Also wasn't sure for my next one if a site with only a few 'buying' keywords in the 200 to 300 results range was worth pursuing. And I mainly was using the $300+ Amazon product as a example to say I wasn't aiming to sell a whole bunch of small products with a commission of $1, but I guess I didn't really need that detail in my question :p

I do plan on trying to get traffic from things other then just ranking in Google, but I am just taking it one step at a time, same reason I am just going with Amazon for now.

So basically, would you guys say for someone just starting out, would a site built mainly off a few 'buying' keywords in the 200 to 300 results range worth pursuing or would it be recommended to have a few bigger 'buying' keywords, like in the 1000+ range for starting a new site?

    Thanks again
