In the list of criteria in looking for expired domains (e.g. link authority, spammyness, etc.), does it's age give it additional juice to draw from?

    1) Say the site was started in 2004 vs 2013 - all other things being equal, would the 2004 provide more juice?

    2) Does the "inactive" period for these sites matter, all things being equal - Say, inactive/expired for 7 years vs 6 months?

    Thanks.

More age more authority...and a new site is likely to get caught In sandbox effect.

Yes, the older the site the better it would be. Also period of inactivity matters, the lesser, the better.

2013 would still be 2 years old which is fine. I would draw the line at picking up a domain less than 1 year old :)
