Now you can only make YT account if you have Gmail?

im trying to create a new yt account but i can only register if i register a gmail account.Is this a new thing gaygle is doing?

Not necessarily.. I can still sign up yt accounts using hotmail, ymails by adding them onto google accounts. Ya, I just made a few moments ago.

i click on create an account on yt and it forces me to make a gmail account

1. Get a Hotmail Account, Yahoo or what ever!
2. Go and Create a G+ Account with your Hotmail/Yahoo.
3. Now goto Youtube and Login using the Hotmail/yahoo.
4. It's as simple as that

yes. this is true. just be logged into your gmail when you are at youtube homepage, and then click "create account"

your new gmail will automatically be linked to your youtube acct since google owns youtube

in the beginning it was not so...
gone are the days when things used to be simple and easy

That's the only way to make YT accounts now... It's getting harder and harder.

No not gone! Just hard for most and still very easy for a few! I like to think of it as natural selection...

So how many people have managed to start making account again then?

When I try and create a Google+ account it says that I need a Google account? I've tried what was posted above by the Indian Heart Break Kid, but that doesn't work anymore. That's what I was using too.

I had created yt accounts with hotmail accounts today but didnt faced any problem like that.....
