Well, I guess the time has come for me to become a full-time IMer.

I was fired from my full-time job this afternoon for refusing to do something blatantly illegal, and, if caught, would have more than likely gotten me tossed into jail.

I already got a lawyer on the case. (5 minutes of explanation on the phone to my attorney had him about to lose it in his shorts! He can't wait to initiate a wrongful termination lawsuit. I just want what is owed to me, for the work I've already done.)

So, I got the time to get started full-time, so I guess I have no excuses not to.

    Wish me luck, folks!

    Long story.

I am a truck driver by trade, and run all over the US. I haul cars, and there are certain regulations we have to abide by as far as height, length, weight, ect.

The truck that I normally drive ( I don't own it, I just operate it) is not within legal limits for length. (You are allowed to be 75', this truck is 76'4") I got caught in Colorado a month ago, got a ticket, and the owner of the truck was ordered by the court to get the truck legal before letting it return to Colorado.

This is the second time I was busted in Colorado for over-length, and was told by the court that, if I was caught there again under the same circumstances, that I would be looking at 30 days for non-compliance of a court order.

Well, today, he told me I had to take that truck, and go to Colorado Springs. I told the boss that, since he hadn't corrected the problem (when he has had plenty of time to do so), and that I have no desire to become a Rocky-Mountain Butt-Buddy, that until the truck was legal for Colorado, I wasn't going there.

So, he got pissy and fired me for refusing to go.

    Thats about it. (Condensed version)

Hey buddy, things are looking excellent for you now! I too was fired back in september, same reason, refusal of work because they asked me to impersonate someone when calling a vendor to swindle another trial license out of them....a $40,000 license. Anyway, thats a whole other story but you have good things in store for you, i can assure you that! After the first couple months of feeling shitty about the whole situation i took things mega seriously (and because I was -$10,000 in debt due to mortgage payments etc). Then BAM, since then its only been getting better and better. First month $500, 2nd month $1500, 3rd month $2500, 4th month $10,000, and who knows what else now! Just work hard, lose lots of sleep and just keep working. Try everything you know, but stick to only what works and keep your head out of BHW for a while to avoid the curiosity to try something else. When you become an expert at one method and can automate it, learn the 2nd one while the first spins its own wheels and you will grow in no time!
Good luck and hang in there, tough times ahead but it will all be soooo worth it.

Heck, I don't want to clean anyone out, I just want what I'm owed, for the work that I've already done. (2-week lag on payroll. Now the prick is saying he is going to make me wait a month for my final 2 paychecks!)

He should at least have to pay you interest on the money owed and legal fees.

    UPDATE:

Well, after consulting with some people who told him that he had left himself wide-open for a lawsuit, the company owner paid me in full today. (They doinked me out of $200 worth of toll receipts. Said no one told me to run any toll roads. )

As far as I'm concerned, its over. I'll chalk it up as a lesson learned and move on.

Thanks for all the kind words, and support. It really is appreciated.
